This tool is engineered to help make piston-to-valve clearance cuts (notches) in pistons. This tool is sized to fit in cylinder heads with a 2.125-2.150” intake valve and an 8mm valve stem like BTR CVH cathedral port and square port cylinder heads that use an LT1/LT4 intake valve and powder metal guides. May not work with all bronze guides. Stem diameter is 7.99 (+0.00 / -0.02) mm, cutter head diameter is 2.25" (Always allow for .050" clearance to your intake valve package - Total valve diameter minus cutting tool diameter / 2 ). Consult your machinist before use if used with ANY OTHER cylinder head other than BTR CVH LS cylinder heads.
